Stallion Retirement Fund: This is an umbrella scheme set up under the tier II pension scheme for various employers to sign up. It is suitable for employers who may be limited by size and therefore would not qualify to operate a stand-alone scheme or may not want to involve themselves with the complexities of running a pension scheme. Under the master trust schemes, the sponsors are usually the corporate Trustees.

All what is expected of a participating employer is to adopt the scheme for its employees.
